| | External Hard drive not working anymore I am using Win Vista, and I have a simpletech 500gb hard drive. I was able to use the hd a few months back without a problem, however, when I tried to use it today, it asked me to install a software driver for the device. I dont remember it asking me this the very first I tried to use hd. The system is not able to find any driver, and there's none on the official website. I have given full rights to the account, confirmed that .inf file is in the right place, but it still doesnt work. Can anyone give any suggestions! |

If you have had SP1 installed you might be a another victim of various USB problems after SP1 was installed. Apparently MS has free support for this issue....might want to check out their web site for further details. |
