Belkin G+ Wireless USB Adapter

I have Vista 32 bit and I'm trying to connect wireless internet. I bought the
above product as the shop assistant told me if I went on the Belkin website I
could download the driver to work on Vista. However, I can download the
driver and open the files, but when I put the adapter into the USB port the
computer won't recognise it and find the driver. I have tried the adapter on
XP computers and it works fine. Is there an issue with wireless adapters on
vista?
