| | AHCI Hello! I bought a PC with Vista Home Premium preinstalled and an intel G33 chipset. However, SATA mode in BIOS was set to IDE. If I set it to AHCI or RAID, I would get a BSOD. So I enabled AHCI driver in Vista in the registry, with no success. I also tried installing intel Matrix drivers, but the installer says my system does not meet minimum requirements. So what do I have to do now to enable AHCI/RAID mode on an installed system? Thanks Sebastian |

Before enabling AHCI in the BIOS, users must first follow the instructions found at Microsoft Knowledge Base article 922976. | | Re: AHCI Silly question but did you enable the registry key with a 1 or 0? Usually enabling is a 1 but in this case enabling needs a 0 value. Also you might see what driver is currently installed for the HDD controller. Also check for the presence of system32\drivers\msahci.sys.
