need space after an upgrade from XP

Hello,

I've upgraded my computer from XP Pro SP2 to Vista. Everything seems working
fine but I would like to know if I can't delete some folders on my primary
hard disk. I see several folders with "old" data from my XP installation. Can
I delete them ?

Directories :
C:\$WINDOWS.~Q
C:\$INPLACE.~TR

Or maybe there's some others folders ?
