Vista - Uninstall of winxp sp2 on dual boot with win vista ultimate

in installed win vista ultimate and created dual boot along with win xp. I
have transferred all my files from xp and want to uninstall xp. How do I do
that?

Unless you did something out of the ordinary, you need to do just 3 things,
all easy:

1. Delete WinXP's \Windows folder. Or you could reformat the volume where
that folder is - so long as it is not the System Partition, which holds the
startup files for Vista, too.

2. Edit Vista's startup information (BCD - Boot Configuration Data) to
remove the reference to WinXP. You can use Vista's native-but-cryptic
BCDEdit.exe, or a 3rd-party boot manager editor like EasyBCD from NeoSmart
Technologies.

3. Delete WinXP's startup files, which are no longer needed: C:\NTLDR,
C:\NTDETECT.COM and C:\Boot.ini. They are in the Root of the System
Partition, which may not be Drive C: in your case; boot into Vista and run
Disk Management to see which is the System Partition.

We don't "uninstall" an operating system. We just delete its files or
reformat its partition.
