I am unable to download windows vista

In the middle of installing windows vista my computer prompts download was
disabled because your computer has 192 mb and it needs 512 mb storage I was
advised this windows vista was the one for my computer. Am able to change

Whoever told you Vista was right for a computer with only 192 megabytes of
memory was incorrect (understatement of the year). Vista needs 512 megabytes
minimum, and will run much better with a full gigabyte. Before you rush out
to purchase more memory, however, have you checked for hardware/software
compatibility?

To get a better idea if Vista makes sense on your computer (even with added
memory), go here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...deadvisor.mspx

I realize you seem to have already purchased Vista, but there's no sense
replacing your existing OS if your hardware can't support Vista properly.
My guess is that your existing computer is a few years old...

Re: I am unable to download windows vista

Look at the column on the left side of this web site very carefully

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...uirements.mspx

There is a very good chance that your computer does not meet the basic
requirements for the installation of Vista. You can run the Upgrade Advisor
as the web site suggests but I think that it will be pointless doing so.

Upgrading the hardware on an old machine is not viable. Some parts will be
almost unobtainable and what you can get will be more expensive than
upgrades for a more modern machine.

If you bought Vista Basic specifically for your computer as it stands, take
the copy back to where you bought it and explain that your computer hasn't
got a hope in hell of running it. They may give you a refund, BUT it is your
responsibility to ensure that what you buy has a good chance of working, so
do not be surprised if they refuse.

Re: I am unable to download windows vista

Vista an online memory retailer such as crucial or Kingston and purchase
more RAM, the more the better for Vista.
If your PC came with only 128MB, it's likely that memory isn't going to be
your only problem.
