upgrade my 32bits vista ultimate licence to 64bits?

Hi
today i got my vista ultimate 32bits VL (for stundents).

is it possible to upgrade that license to 64bits?
(i know i have to reinstall the computer anyway)

and what do i say to the license-seller?

as i have read on the internet both 32&64bits are on the same dvd and the
only thing seperating them is the serial.
Is that true in my case to?

FALSE
32 bit is on one DVD while 64 bit is on the other.
All the versions of Windows Vista are on each DVD, Home Basic, Home
Premium, Business, Ultimate, Starter etc.

Re: upgrade my 32bits vista ultimate licence to 64bits?

You would need to talk to the organization you got your volume license from
to see if a replacement (not an upgrade because you cannot upgrade 32-bit
Windows to 64-bit Windows anyway) is available. And as Jupe has indicated,
32-bit DVDs and 64-bit DVDs are entirely separate, the 64-bit version does
not come on the 32-bit version and vice versa.

Re: upgrade my 32bits vista ultimate licence to 64bits?

Rethink going to 64 bit - remember 64 bit is "picky" - all drivers must be
signed/cerified.
