Vista - What are Serviceable Components?

I am trying to do an unattended install of Vista, with user profiles on drive

What are serviceable components in this context?

Hello,
Do not use that setting. It will break future servicing.
So updates from Windows updates or stand-alone updates, including security
updates, or like the service pack may fail to install.

Thanks for the heads up Darrell, don't think I want to risk using Windows
once its gone stale :P
Seriously though, if thats the consequence then it's a setting that I'll skip.
I still have a gap in my knowledge.. just what are "Serviceable Components"?
