Restoring Windows Defaults

I just got my 1420 and have toggled so many things on or off in trying to set
up a network, file and printer sharing, etc. that I"m confused over what I
have changed. I want to restore all my windows setting back to the "out of
the box" state but I don't want to affect the sofeware I have loaded on since
then like a printer and the like. How can I do this?

Re: Restoring Windows Defaults

Hi Mark,

It's not as simple as that. If you run a system restore, which is what would
revert the system back to its state at a previous point in time, then it
will also undo any changes/installs of software done after the restore point
that was chosen. You can't use it to selectively undo just certain changes.
So, the only way backwards would be to individually reset each change you
made.
