Another answer to installation expanding files problem.

I kept having my installation of Vista X86 stopped at 27% of "Expanding
Files" with a message of " Anerror occured while preparing windows setup to
boot into the next stage of setup.".

I had XP Home on one 120Gb IDE drive and was installing Vista X86 on my
other 160Gb IDE drive. I had Norton "Go Back" enabled on the XP drive and it
blitzed my installation. As soon as I "disabled" "Go Back" the installation
proceeded smoothly.

I tried re-enabling "Go Back" after installation was complete, but it
prevented Vista from booting up saying it could not preform it's self check
routine.

After disabling "Go Back" again every thing works fine.

I also read that anothor member said that "Back It Up" can cause the same
problem.
