| | Cannot Transfer Files I have my new computer with Vista Business on it all set up. I am using the (USB) Belkin easy tranfer cable to move my files off my old computer running XP Pro. Both computers detected the cable and loaded the appropriate driver. However, when I go to launch Easy File Transfer (on my Vista box) or Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (on my XP box), the computers cannot see each other. Is this because my Vista machine is USB 2.0 and my XP machine is USB 1.1? Both of my computers have a NIC installed in them. Should I try the transfer using the NICs instead? TIA. |

| | Re: Cannot Transfer Files Have you installed the 'Easy File Transfer' program onto your XP machine from the supplied CD? My XP machine has USB 1.1 and my Vista machine USB 2.0 and the transfer worked ok. | | Re: Cannot Transfer Files Mick, Thanks for the response I did that and it worked for a short while. Some of my files were transferred, then I had to do the remainder by copying them to CD then loading them from there.
