| | Authorization key in use Recently reformatted and my activation key says that it is in use, I am then prompted to buy a new cd key or activate over the phone system. I have reformatted before with no issues and I guess I only have three days to figure this before Vista locks me out. OS: Vista 64 bit home premium OEM |

| | Re: Authorization key in use Simply activate over the phone. Dial the number given. It will ask you for the key, then tell you it is in use. Wait for a human, tell the human that you had to reformat your system type in a long sequence of numbers you will be given and you are re-activated. Max 5 minutes, usually about 2.
