Vista - RE: Using an OEM product key on retail Vista question

Hi phenomd,

You cannot use an OEM key to activate a retail version, nor can you do it
the other way round. These keys are linked to the specific type of media that
they come with. If you follow the instructions in my post 'Clean Install
Windows Vista Using Upgrade Media' also in this newsgroup (dated 9/21/2007),
you should be able have Vista running on your machine PROVIDING, of course,
that your machine is capable of running it.
