    How to Install Windows XP on Windows Vista

    I would like to know, how to Install Windows XP (SP2) on Windows Vista
    (Dual-Boot).



    I have purchased HP Compaq Notebook which came Pre-Installed with Windows
    Vista Home Basic. I want to Install Windows XP on it.

    I have created a Partition D (by Shrinking Volume C) to have Windows XP on
    it. But when I start the computer with Windows XP Install CD inside, the
    Windows XP Set-Up does'nt open at all. I have set the Boot Order
    appropriately, i.e, to Boot from CD Drive first.

    Could any one please help me to Install Windows XP (SP2) over Windows Vista.

    Have a read of the above link; it includes preinstalled versions of vista.
