| | connecting to internet Have new dell computer with vista. Cannot connect to my cable modem. Lights are fine and connection fine with old computer with XP. Dell says i need a usb adapter for my new computer to my cable modem and they can walk me through connecting. Does this sound like a Vista problem as they say ? e-mail-- wsawicki@xxxxxx |

| | Re: connecting to internet I am using vista with Ethernet connect right now. You really don't want a USB cable connect if you can avoid it. You should have no problems connecting with the Ethernet card supplied with the machine. | | RE: connecting to internet Do you have a modem or a Router to connect your 2 computers? You say modem, but a lot of people don't know the difference. If you have a router you normaly have 4 Ethernet connections, and can use a Cat5 cable for both comps.
