| | Cannot execute programs after backup copy I couldn't boot, and the Emachine rep talked me thru a reinstall (with backup) of Vista Basic from the recovery partition. I was able to recover most data, but the Backup Programs won't execute after I moved them to Vista Program Files folder (registry/DLL errors). Do I have to delete them from Vista, and download/reinstall them again? Also, I haven't been able to find my email files. Appreciate any help. Thanks. PS Is there any documentation out there which I can print and refer to WHEN this happens again? |

What's the purpose of backing up program files in the first place? Thanks.
