transferring from xp pc to new pc with vista

Hi -- can I transfer, using the Easy Transfer software, w/o a 2nd monitor?
We only bought the cpu, and planned to use our existing monitor. Thanks

Hi,

The monitor is inconsequential. Use it on the XP system when you setup the
transfer, and then on the Vista system when you import the transfer.

Re: transferring from xp pc to new pc with vista

You will need a monitor connected to both PCs if you intend to do a transfer
via cable (network or USB). If you're gathering files from the old PC and
moving them to the new one via USB drive, CD/DVD, etc you will need it
connected to each PC in order so you can read and follow the prompts during
the EasyTransfer process.
