Graphics card GeForce 7800 GS OC

As part of my upgrade I installed the above AGP graphics card. Inspite of
dowloading the latest driver I can not get Vista to recognize it?

What should I do? Any suggestions?

Are you getting it recognised as a generic video card? What do you mean?

Re: Graphics card GeForce 7800 GS OC

Thank you for answering my question.

The card that is been recognized is not even the one the motherboard uses.
The drivers for this new card cannot be installed. Windows Vista message is
that the drivers cannot be found. This is confusing because I am tring to
install them.

Any ideas.

Re: Graphics card GeForce 7800 GS OC

Have you downloaded the drivers from the Cards Manufacturer's website?
You have to get the right drivers for it to work!
And are they Vista compatible?

If they are the right ones, save to your Desktop; delete the existing
Graphics Driver using device Manager, and install the new one by
double-clicking on it.

..
