| | AIK System Image Manager (SIM) spontaneously reboots while generating catalog file I'm trying to generate an answer file for a Vista Business installation using the Automated Installation Kit with System Image Manager. The technician computer is running Windows XP Pro SP2 (installed just a couple weeks ago). I turned off anti-virus software for the installation of the Automated Installation Kit and also for the creation of the answer file. Here are the error circumstances: I start SIM and select Vista Business's INSTALL.WIM which has been copied from the DVD to C:\AIK_WORK. It generates the expected error about not finding a catalog file, and prompts "Do you want to create a catalog file?" I answer Yes and a few seconds into generating the catalog file, it spontaneously reboots. It has done this both times I tried to run this procedure. I find nothing illuminating in the Event Logs. Does anyone recognize this problem? Can I just copy the Vista Business catalog file from the DVD (found just after INSTALL.WIM) instead of generating a new one? John Hupp PRP Company |
