| | Re: Monitor Not in Device Manager Hi, Does the Display Adapter exist? If not, then I would suspect that someone either did the old "disable this device" bit. Have you tried using the scan for hardware changes bit? -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "EdC" <EdC@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:64BC47CA-0281-4049-9231-5F5F5AC46A6E@xxxxxx Quote: > After POST - the monitor loses goes to black - signal is still present > and > the event sounds continue. | | Re: Monitor Not in Device Manager Windows is apparently sending a resolution to the monitor that it will not accept over the interface you are using in Normal mode. Boot in safe mode and change the resolution to one that you are sure your monitor will accept such as its native resolution then reboot in normal mode again.
