Installing X64 Vista on an 80GB 10,000RPM HD??

I'm been searching for similar topics related to my question, and so far unable to find any answers, so I'm creating a new thread about it.

Here's the problem:

I have an 80GB WD Raptor hard drive that spins at 10,000 RPM which I would like to use as my boot drive.
I also have 2X500GB Seagate hard drives, and let's say I would like to use this kind of setup:

80GB Raptor as boot Drive C:,
500GB Seagate as Drive D:,
500GB Seagate as Drive E:,

Ok, now would I be safe to assume Drive D is where I install all programs, whereas Drive E would be my backup (pics,documents,music,etc.).
Can this setup be possible?
What about a RAID setup?

I would like to use (boot) Drive C: as little as possible, not to mention after installing Vista X64 Ultimate and all the updates, I hope I have enough room for future updates, not to forget Vista's SP1 of course.

I would sincerely appreciate a few logical answers, please.
Thanx

Re: Installing X64 Vista on an 80GB 10,000RPM HD??

You can install Vista on the Raptor...you just need to pay attention during
the install and pick that drive for the installation. or just connect that
drive and after the install connect the other 2
You did not mention if this was a SATA or PATA Raptor...
The other 2 drives could be set up for RAID ........assuming they are SATA
drives??
SATA drivers will need to be installed during the VISTA installation...
Your Manual will explain how to set up RAID on the Silicon Image
chipset.....and tell you which SATA connectors are connected to that chip.
As for the rest of you question......where you install programs to after the
Vista install is up to you.most programs nowadays give you a choice but you
will still find a few that just want to install onto the C :/Programs
folder..no choice.
If you are aiming to use the 3rd drive for strictly backup don't do RAID.The
object of a good backup procedure is to have everything backed up to a
separate HD that is not part and parcel of your every day usage.

on a personal note...nice gaming mobo why spoil it with Vista 64?? For games
I would stick with regular Vista.
64 bit drivers are still a little hard to find and I would be looking for
them before I installed 64bit Vista
