Vista - can't boot in safemode for unactivated windows, crashes in normal

can't boot in safemode for unactivated windows, crashes in normal

Moment 22
had an activated windows vista
after an automatic update the os crashes
booted on cd to rescue to erlier restore point
windows still crashes and now the system is unactivated
can't do a normal boot (bluescreen) and because of this I can't activate again
not allowed to boot an unactivated system in failsafe mode so i can correct
any bad driver.
how can i solve this?
