Re: Startup WAV

Hi,

It's embedded in a library file now, unlike older versions that used a
startup.wav. You can enable/disable whether or not it plays in the Sounds
applet in the Control Panel, but you cannot alter it or replace it with a
sound of your own.

Re: Startup WAV

It is located in the dynamic link library called imageres.dll in c:\Windows\sytem32

You can edit this with a program called Resource Hacker
For Info and download links go to Resource Hacker

go into the folder WAVE after opening imageres.dll with reshacker and open 5051 or whatever folder is inside WAVE. either delete it or replace it with something else.
WARNING: the replacement must be a .wav file and i have never deleted it before.
Good luck
