| | Re: New Hard Drive! You can do a full PC backup, replace the hard drive with the newer hard drive and then restore from the backup onto the new hard drive. | | Re: New Hard Drive! Install the upgrade disk without entering a serial number, be sure to select the version (Business, Home, Ultimate...) that corresponds to your upgrade. Then without activating boot from the upgrade disk again upgrade over the top of the install you just did. Vista qualifies as an operating system you can upgrade from. You can always clone the old hard drive to the new, and then run the upgrade from the new hard drive. -- Dustin Harper dharper@xxxxxx http://www.vistarip.com | Vista Resource & Information Page "Lions6958" <Lions6958@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ABE60F50-8750-4A74-9186-BB9EDA064A77@xxxxxx Quote: >I have the Windows Vista upgrade disc and I just bought a new hard drive. >Do > I need to reinstall Windows Xp and Windows Vista again or is there an > eaiser > way to do it? |
