| | Installing Vista Home Premium I had XP Media Centre on my AMD 4400+ & decided to upgrade to Vista All good - purchased Vista Home Premium and installed it (on a temporary drive). This allowed me dual boot between Vista32 and XP Media while I decided that this will work for me I then ordered a Vista 64 dvd. I formatted my "C" drive to ensure a clean install I processed the clean install without entering licensing information The clean install failed right at the end with "The installation was not successful" I re-installed, this time successful I then ran the software again and used the "upgrade" option But this fails every time with exactly the same message at the same place The last few steps are: Copy windows files - successful Expand files - successful Install features - successful Install Updates - successful Complete installation Reboot The installation was not successful Reboot & rollback to unlicensed version How do I continue from here? |
