Close ALL programs and remove ALL external devices, including USB modems.

Re: KB936330 vista sp1

Right now I am just trying to determine if Sp1 installed itself Tues. From
what I can tell it appears not.
I looked at updates installed, and I do not see this listed. Nor Do I see it
in the suggested install list.
I saw on a MS link to click Start then R-click Computer, and look for an
Edition box.
I do not see anything like that on my sys. Vista Bus. using Classic
settings..

Right now I have no prob. waiting, just want to see if I have it or not.
This is a new HP Pc w/Vista preinstalled.

everything shut down. no external devices
all i get here is a note on the screen saying error did not finish
installing sp1
the "up-date" pages shows all up-dates til these three (3) now as completed
ok. these three(3) just -"failed"- and the date.

would this work from "safe mode"??

thanks for you time

Start buttom, Search- type winver, run the winver.exe and you'll see if SP1
is installed
