Vista - vista ultimate sp1 upgrade=full install?

hey guys, first time on the forums and I love all the guides available for installing vista (I decided to make the switch to vista recently). I tried searching this on the forums, but it only related to the old upgrade disks. I was wondering if its still possible to do a full install of ultimate from the new upgrade disks. I was also wondering if its possible to do x64 from the upgrade disk as I'm not sure if it includes the 64bit disk

What do you mean by New Upgrade disk?
Do you possibly mean an upgrade disk that contains the full Vista release
already upgraded with SP1?

Vista DVD includes both 32 and 64 bit versions - however individual product
keys are required.

If you bother to read how you do the clean install from upgrade, it says to
run it from within windows(with the way to do it), then re-run it.

You can not upgrade 32bit to 64bit that way.

There are separate installation DVDs for Vista32 bit and Vista 64 bit since
they both can not fit on one DVD. If you buy Vista Ultimate you get both in
the box along with the single Product key that you can with either. If you
buy one of the other versions of Vista you get the 32 Bit DVD and you can
order the 64 bit DVD for about $10. The key that came with the 32 bit DVD
will again work with either.

I think i'm going to get Home Premium instead of Ultimate, mainly because i couldn't justify the extra money for Ultimate when i didn't need it. I was however wondering if the new Home Premium SP1 Retail upgrade disks could still do the clean install trick, or did microsoft patch it?

Just so you will know, IF you had ordered a Vista x64 OS, you would

or not. What Microsoft does with THEIR code is their business, not
