| | RE: Windows system image manager I know that you can capture a Windows Image file using the SMS2003 OSD Feature Pack...then it should be able to be managed to an extent...however, it won't have the functionality that it has with Vista Images. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the second part. If you aren't using SMS2k3 or SCCM though, you'll have to use good old Ghost. However, I know that you can have issues with the newer SATA systems when applying a DOS image. If you need help in that event, let me know. | | RE: Windows system image manager Hello, What functionality are you looking for from Windows System Image Manager. The primary purpose is to generate the unattended file. It generates the unattended file in an XML format and only for Window Vista and Windows Server 2008. Windows XP needs the unattended file to be generated in text format. Look at the deploy.cab on the Windows XP for Setup Manager to generate the unattended files.
