| | Any way to install Vista64 on Raid0??? Pls help! I have tried just about everything I could find online. Simply cannot past the "no drives were found click load driver to provide a mass storage driver" and "this computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk" and so on. I've tried the drivers from the MB CD, tried the ones on the FD, tried drivers from AMD, ATI even Asus.... Nothing! Went though the BIOS settings time and again... still a big nothing! I'm hopelessly frustrated and this is my last attempt before I take the MB back to the store and get lesser one that might work. BTW I haven't changed anything on my system except the MB and SDRAM and it was running Vista 64 fine off of a m2n sli deluxe (Nvidia 590SLI chipset)!!! My current config is: CPU AMD AM2 6000+ MB SAPPHIRE PC-AM2RD790 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM (800) 6 x WD 250GB SATA HDD SET UP IN 3 RAID0 ARRAYS ALBATRON 8800 GTX SB X-FI DVDs FDD etc Oh and lots of power (1200W) Don't get stuck on the 3 Raid0 arrays. I've only set up the first one (boot) so far so it doesn't confuse poor little Vista... Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

| | RE: Any way to install Vista64 on Raid0??? Pls help! A lot of posters have advised to install running only 2 gig of RAM; installing the rest later. -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "Trifon DK" wrote: Quote: > I have tried just about everything I could find online. > Simply cannot past the "no drives were found click load driver to provide a > mass storage driver" and "this computer's hardware may not support booting to > this disk" and so on. > > I've tried the drivers from the MB CD, tried the ones on the FD, tried > drivers from AMD, ATI even Asus.... | | Re: Any way to install Vista64 on Raid0??? Pls help! 1. The information for the motherboard provided by the Sapphire web site is rather meager. 2. If you want to use drivers from other sources, use the DFI drivers for the LANPARTY UT 790FX-M2R motherboard, which the PC-AM2RD790 actually is (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200..._pc-am2rd790/1). 3. You don't provide any specifics as to what you've done, but the following should work: a. Connect two drives to SATA1 and 2. b. Enable OnChip SATA Controller. c. Set OnChip SATA Type to RAID; save settings and reboot. d. Configure the drives as RAID0 in the AMD RAID BIOS; save settings and reboot. e. Verify that the RAID0 drive appears in Hard Disk Boot Priority under Advanced BIOS features. f. Make sure Hard Disk appears as a Boot Device. | Vista Ultimate x86 | Re: Any way to install Vista64 on Raid0??? Pls help! I had the same problem as you are experiencing. 1. It might be obvious, but be sure the drivers you are loading is on a non raid configured drive. 2. During the install, Vista does not drill down to look for the drivers. You will need to point to the directory the inf files are located. |
