| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Windows failed to start Hey Microsoft, how about you have the Vista install have an option to HIGH LEVEL FORMAT a hard drive (instead of the crappy quickie) so you can tell right from the start that if you have a BAD HARD DRIVE! YES! One bouncing head bad hard drive has caused me all of this frustration. How did I figure this out? I decided to say "F' this" and install XP. SO... When I went to install XP I told it to Format the drive (not quick), and it stayed on 1% forever. I cracked the case, lo and behold... TICK, TICK, TICK... And it wasn't the Croc from Peter Pan. |
