Vista - Internal Sound is working but no sound for headphones

Hi there,

I use Vista Pre-RC1 and installed it without problem. Working fine right now.

I have just a problem with external sound.

As my internal sound and speakers works well, I can't have sound on my jack
where I can connect external speakers or headphones ... NO WAY !!

Any solutions will be welcom ...

De-install sound drivers and re-install other one from manufacturer design
for XP or Vista.

Finally works for me.

I'm having the same problem, but no amount of reinstalling/uninstalling seems
to fix it.

On top of that, my integrated mic doesn't work either.

Using a HP Pavilion dv2020ca

Hi Guys
I had the exact same problem with my Acer 3680. Internal sound working fine but no sound from headphones etc and the frustrating part was that it kept saying audio devices working fine.. Now this might sound weird but.......I took to it with the vacume cleaner (you know I put the vacuum to the jack where the headphone plugs in and wallah!!! it worked not a very technical method but hey.... I don't know maybe or obviously it just had a bit of dust or dirt or something in there. Worth a try!!!
