Vista - Customizing "All Programs"

While installing programs on Vista Home Premium, I note that several programs
are similar in function, but when listed alphabetically, they are not
organized the way I would like them. How do I move Program Folders D, L, Q
and R into the Program A folder? Say, one at a time for starters.

Best to leave well enough alone. Moving things will break all your
shortcuts and might do worse.

Thanks. Sure wouldn't want to mess up that cute little Vista. Of course, we
had this functionality in XP, but the colors in Vista are just wonderful.

Hi,

Right click the start orb, choose 'explore all users' to get to:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

Do the same as you did with XP. Create a new folder (A) and drag/drop D, L,
and Q into it.

If you are talking about moving entries in the Start Menu, the above is
nonsense. Entries in the Start Menu are simply shortcuts to the real
executables. You can arrange the Start Menu as you wish. Here's a link
which shows how to organize the Start Menu (Classic and Default) in Vista:
