How resize the partition

Hi,

I have this problem:

My SATA hd with Vista 32 Ultimate is 160GB Maxtor.
On this hd I've created 2 NTFS partitions:

C:\ OS Vista32 Ultimate is 20GB
D:\ programs 140GB

Now is available the SP1 for Vista32 so I need to enlarge the C:\ to 30GB
and D:\Programs to 130GB

I want to low level format this hd and resize the partitions as above
mentioned.

I have a copy of backup on an external hd of these partitions created using
the utility tool of Vista Ultimate.

When I have resized the partitions, may I copy the 2 saved partitions from
the external hd again on the hd formatted and resized?

Thanks

They will copy back as they were. Get yourself Acronis Disk director if you
want something reliable. You also need to allocate way more than 30gb too.
Look to at least 60gb or you will find yourself having to resize again.

And, a low level format is not the right way. If it's possible.

RE: How resize the partition

Symantec Partition Magic (Version 8) currently was the first on the scene in
commercially successful EASY to use software and still works like a champ in
Vista. It lets you choose nearly any desired result/sizing and even lays your
data into the new structure.

Can be had nearly free after rebates...
