| | Re: Error: To install windows please try booting from the install You should download the right file for your computer. Either 32-Bit or 64-Bit. Mine is 32-Bit and I used the Akamai Download Manager to download the file. http://download.windowsvista.com/pre...n/download.htm "EJ" <EJ@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BAFD5F88-83C6-4F3A-8D48-A19992EA7AA4@microsoft.com... > What did you do to fix that problem? > And do you think it will help if I download the 32-bit? > > "Ted F" wrote: > >> I had that message before... >> >> It's a bad download and or iso burn. >> >> >> "EJ" <EJ@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:752F8666-E27B-4972-9A8F-350AB7C4DB74@microsoft.com... >> > This is so agravating... it is my first time installing a windows vista >> > beta >> > on my operating system... when i put the burned 64-bit vista RC1 dvd >> > into >> > my >> > computer it automatically comes up with a mesage saying : Setup can not >> > run >> > on this version of the Operating System. to install Windows please try >> > booting from the install media. If your BIOS supports booting from CD/DVD, enable this option and restart your computer. The burnt DVD should be detected and the system will boot from this DVD, rather than from your hard disk. If your BIOS does not support booting from CD/DVD, you will either have to upgrade it or make some boot floppy disks. |
