| Guest | Repost Dual Boot Question It's entirely possible that my previous post on this situation was not answered because there is no solution, but as I'm ever the optimist, I'll restate: I started with a dual boot PC, Windows 2000 on C: and Windows XP Pro on D:. I installed Vista RC1 over Windows 2000 on C: Vista works fine, but the Vista boot manager has no knowledge of the XP installation on D:. Is there any way to make the Vista boot manager "see" XP on D: and create a dual boot option? |

You'll need to ensure the boot.ini, ntdetect.com and ntldr system files are on the root directory of the drive you want to boot into the existing XP system. |
