All I get now is help topic not found and the content is under construction.
This is when I start-up H&S or try to find any topic in the search box.

This is a registry fix that reassociates the .xml file type with default
settings.

I really don't know why H&S has gone on the blink like this with the
messages.

This content under construction
We were unable to retrieve the requested topic.

somewhere?

Mr. Arnold,
Yes, you can copy and paste this below between the lines into Notepad and name it whatever.reg. Afterwards, just right click on it and click Merge.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xml]
@="xmlfile"
"Content Type"="text/xml"
"PerceivedType"="text"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xsl]
"Content Type"="text/xml"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.css]
"Content Type"="text/css"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.png]
"PerceivedType"="image"
"Content Type"="image/png"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg]
"Content Type"="image/jpeg"
"PerceivedType"="image"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope this helps,
Shawn

have been doing all a long:
1) If you go to help from a Vista feature with on-line H&S setting enabled,
it will show the help topic. But it's not formatted.
2) If you do have H&S off-line setting enabled when doing #1, then one gets
the error screen I have posted.
3) If I start H&S from Start button menu, then I get the screen that I have
previously posted.
It's not a show stopper but gee what can be said about this, other than,
it's not good.

Mr. Arnold,
Try this instead. It contains the entire REG entries for these keys instead.

Hope this helps,
