Vista - download RC1 and find file

I have now downloaded RC1 three times but, once downloaded and the downloader
closed, I do not find the file in the folder. Is this due to folder/file
permissions or..?

I have the same problem. I have used the Akamai Download Manager twice.
First time I left it to its own devices overnight. In the morning it said it
was successful, but I could not find the file, so tried again. This time it
stopped at 99% and I had to resume. Still can't find the file. Going to try
without using Akamai (i.e. the 'to use you browser' link ) in conjuction with
another download manager such as Getright instead. Hopefully this will work.

Tried to download several times by Akamai Download Manager but can't download
the download manager itself.
Problem solved by using Flashget.
Hint: you need to specify right Referrer page (without Referrer page you'll
get just 1kb notice file).

My download worked last night, using the method I mentioned in my earlier
post. Uncle Fedor's tip is timely - I've downloaded a HTML page rather than
the file on more than one occasion. Now I click the link to make sure it
starts the download. Once I'm sure it is the link that actually starts the
download, I right click on it and cut & paste the link text into the download
manager.
