Vista - Move the actual boot loader to different partition?

Hi,

Is it possible to move the whole boot loader to a different partition?
Here's the current setup:

P1 Dell Utility
p2 Vista boot loader and old o/s (was C drive of old o/s)
p3 Data
p4 Vista o/s

Can I move the the whole boot loader to p4 and then set p4 Active in the
MBR (subject to BIOS geometry translation limits)? I noticed in BCDEDIT
you can create a new "store", but it's not clear if this will actually
install a partition boot sector at the same time?

(I don't care if the whole thing breaks trying to do this)
