I've tred and tried to run this program, but, I keep getting this error.

if you have xp stick to it. if you really want vista clean intall is the way to go eaither new partition copy over docs, use diskpart in the vistainstall to make space for new partition then after your done delete the old partition and use diskpart to get the unused space back
