| | Vista SP1 update done but won't startup I updated and installed the Vista Service Pack 1 completely and successfully last night, and as it reboots, it goes to a black screen with something that looks like a file and registry data check, around 3 minutes it stops at this registry and won`t go through, this is what the screen says: ! ! 0xc0000034 ! ! 60442/61646 (\Registry\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\classes \Appli...) The screen keeps flashing as like it's still looking for that file, but the number doesn't increase and it won't go through that stage (I left my computer for the whole night and it still didn't boot up) So I rebooted the computer and try the startup fix, it didn`t find any problem with the system, so I tried Advanced options, but only to find out that there`s no records of my system restore point as I tried that method, which is weird since I had restored my system in the past and my system restore program has been on for a long time. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem and give me some alternatives before I have to send my laptop to the company for repair. My laptop is the Dell XPS M1330, let me know if more information is required Thank you very much! |
