| | Vista RC1 (german) installation abort Hi there, i wonder if anybody has experience with RC1 setup in german... After clicking "install now" an error post like "it is not shure that this version of windows is functionally on your computer" appears. After confirming "OK" or closing the window setup returns to the startscreen. No further comment, the game can start again, again, again. Vista Upgrade Advisor says everything should work fine... seems, everything but SETUP!!! My Vista copy is original from M$, downloaded two times. i tried burning the iso on dvd or starting setup directly from harddisk using nero image-drive. i also tried booting from dvd, that also didn't work, my sytem always booted from harddrive, independend of the settings in bios. Some facts: AMD Sempron 2200+ (1,5 GHz), 1250 MB Ram, AMI Bios V 1,3 HDD#1 200 GB, HDD #2 40 GB on IDE1, HDD#3 160 GB, partitioned 100 and 60 GB and LiteOnDVD on IDE2 Radeon 9800 graphics chip, Windows XP SP2 Thanks for any suggestions! |

| | RE: Vista RC1 (german) installation abort Hey, I have installed it on two different computers. RC1 Build 5600 works and the pre-RC1 version too. I have burned it with Alcohol 120% Greetinx Andreas -- Life is like an adventure game, but the graphic is quite fine.... | | RE: Vista RC1 (german) installation abort Thanks for your reply! I guess RC1 would work on my computer, too, if i could only install it! The problem is that setup doesn't start, i mean, i don't even get the message on which partition to install, because setup stops before. maybe my computers bios version is too old?
