Vista - Upgrade From Beta 2 to RC1 Build 5728

On a Gateway M-275 convertible notebook I tried to upgrade from the
installed Vista Beta 2 with Office 2007 to Vista RC1 build 5728 by running
the setup from Windows. After entering the Product ID I saw that upgrade has
been disabled. The screen said that upgrade can only be done from Windows XP
or from Windows Vista. DUH!

Ended up doing a clean install which I would have done anyway.

I have the same problem...I want to install it, all I have is beta 2, which
stinks!

COuld you of possibly updated your Beta 2 with build 5600, THEN updated to
build 5728??
