| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Upgrade from Home Premium 64bit to Ultimate 64bit - No 64bit Media I recently purchased a Sony VIAO VGN-AW190JAH notebook running Vista Home Premium 64bit edition. I then ordered the Windows Anytime Upgrade Pack to Vista Ultimate. The Vista Ultimate upgrade DVD came today and I noticed the DVD *ONLY* includes the 32bit version of Vista Ultimate?!? There's a card in the DVD case that says to go to http:\\www.windowsvista.com\1033\ordermedia and order the media I want. So I go to this site, as requested, I enter my Product Key from inside the DVD case, submit the info and..... the *ONLY* option I have from Microsoft is to order the 32bit "CD" version of Vista Ultimate media. There is NO option to order the Vista Ultimate 64bit media. Are others seeing the 64bit media option here or should I be going somewhere else? Thanks for any advice, -Alan |

| Vista Home Ultimate x64 | Re: Upgrade from Home Premium 64bit to Ultimate 64bit - No 64bit Media I am suffering thru the exact pain right now. I get reading on the web that the retail version of the upgrade has both version and will install based on current version being upgraded. I can not get that confirmed from anyone yet. Any additional help or info would be greatly appreciated. |

| Vista Home Ultimate x64 | Re: Upgrade from Home Premium 64bit to Ultimate 64bit - No 64bit Media I am now being told there is 2 retail versions. 1 states on media "This disc contains 32 bit software only" and the other does not. Do not know how to get the other disc yet. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Upgrade from Home Premium 64bit to Ultimate 64bit - No 64bit Media I sent an email to Microsoft and they told me: "I understand that you need 64bit media for Vista Ultimate Anytime Upgrade from Windows Anytime Upgrade Pack. I recommend that you contact Microsoft support professional at 800-834-6037 for assistance with this issues." I called the number, explained the situation, and the person I talked to admitted the site doesn't allow you to order the 64bit media. She apologized and sent me the media at no cost. It did take about a week and half to get it, but it is what you need. Hope that helps, -Alan |
