| Vista Enterprise x32 | No "Pin to Start Menu" Hello all, need a little help, I am running Vista at work now (from XP) and some of the apps I use daily do not have a Pin to start menu option. I am using the default (not the Classic) start menu. Is there any way to hack the registry or anything to allow me to pin them? Thanks for all the help. |

Have you pressed and held the "SHIFT" key, then right clicked on the app to see if "Pin to Start Menu" appears then? Sometimes this may be required. Hope this helps, Shawn |

Odd the a MS tool wont let me, but thrid party apps like Dameware did. |

| Vista Enterprise x32 | Re: No "Pin to Start Menu" So far I have tried all the suggestions here, as well as two provided by MS support and none of them are allowing me to pin these apps, or their short cuts to the start menu in the default view. In classic view I can just drag the short cut up to the very top and no problem, but I don't want to use that view. |
