I had the same problem installing the 32 bit version. After waiting for about
half an hour, I reset the computer and booted back into the installation
process -- it worked fine -- but annoying -- Vista still does not shutdown
properly. Now you are duel booting. If there is a option to boot to Vista in
the boot manager just select it and see if the installation continues as it
did in my case.
