| | Windows Search 4.0 - the Search Indexer and networkstations Can Vista Search Indexer index network drives? I am running Vista Business in a small office with a fileserver and Exchange server for Outlook. Previously I ran win 2000 and win Desktop Search 3.?. My e-mail and the documents on our server were indexed and fully searchable. Now, after installing Vista, I cannot search Outlook or the documents on the server. The help file indicates that only onboard hard disks will be indexed, but on MS web site for Windows Search 4.0 it says: "With administrator privileges, users can configure the system index to include other folders or volumes on the same PC, include specific network folders and e-mail accounts, or include or exclude specific file formats." Can Vista index network drives? |
