| Vista Ultimate x64 | Installing x64 Ultimate on a New Machine I just got back from Fry's, assembled everything to the letter and started to try and install my x64 version of Windows Vista on a Intel i7 quad core processor and the installation process has been hellaciously slow. Under normal circumstances I have installed vista without the sometimes 3-5 minute delay between menu screens (during the install process). I have already tried bringing my ram count down to 2gb and have decided to just sit thru this mega long install. Is this normal? if not is it going to be a big problem? Note: -I checked to see if I could flash the bios but I believe it is up-to-date. -Chipset is intel x58 -Mobo is Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Thanks... |
