    Ode to Aero.

How come there is no way to "force"-enable aero in Vista SP1? There HAS to
be some way, whether it's mod the driver's inf file or something so that you
can get aero! It isn't illegal to enable it is it? Because you should be
able to do whatever you want with your O/S, right? Cuz I'm stuck with *gag*
windows basic. It's ugly! And the themes are all the same! If there is no
possible way to have aero, what are some good skins? If i can have anything
other than vista basic (using 3rd party software, or skins), please tell me!
    I hate
    Vista Basic!!

    Re: Ode to Aero.

I have Vista Ultimate. But not a DX-9 card. Come on, vista developers! I
KNOW that you know a way to enable aero (After SP1)! So why won't you tell
anyone? Is it illegal? Or just too complicated? I'm
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy sick of Vista Basic (and the like). The only
good (opinion, not fact) theme that I've found is Shiftie2
    (http://sweatyfish.deviantart.com/art/Shiftie-2-Vista-Port-106401884?offset=10".
So can someone at least point me in the right direction to aero? I used
FastAero on my machine, with some blurring program (probably still
fastaero), and it was fine. My card is good enough to operate Aero, even
while surfing the net and stuff. It *should* be my choice to choose if I
want to enable it, as I see it. I don't know, maybe I'm being presumptiuous.

Your hardware is not capable of runing the Aero interface as it requires a
card that supports DirectX-9 or later plus other requirements
    see
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...uirements.aspx
If your system meets the requirements then Aero will be enabled.
