| | 0xc00000e9 install error Hi, Running the following config Gigabyte 965P-DS3 F6 Bios revision one Crucial DDR2 512MB x2 PC5400 RAM Leadtek 7900GS TDH edition E6600 2.4 Conroe ThermalTake Mozart case with VFD WDC 250GB Sata II Attempting an RC1 install, gets to about 33% and posts the code error above and sometimes doesn't even get that far. From reading numerous posts this is supposed to be a USB device issues. My keyboard is USB as don't have an old style interface. The VFD panel however does plug into the USB on the motherboard, but I don't think that is the issue. I had my old copy of XP Pro 2 on there, once I changed the mobo it came up with a hal.dll error. When I attempted a rebuild the XP pro either hangs at starting windows on install or comes up with a error. The only thing that comes to mind is that SATA II can be an issue and perhaps it is that. The Windows XP disc I have is dated 2001 and that probably doesn't have sata support, I don't have a floppy to do a f6 on install and install the drivers. My understanding is that you can't do f6 with Vista. The motherboard has settings for IDE/ACPI and native or legacy IDE, changed and tried all of these to no avail. Any suggestions? |
