    Re: boot up error/Try This

    Try either of these two:

    1) Type regedit in the run box and backup via File>Export>whole registry in
the radio button at lower left>save to desktop>tuck in folder of your choice
where it's retrievable if you need to revert. Navigate to this subkey in
the registry and change the appropriate D_Word value by right clicking it in
the right value pane of the regisry>modify accordingly:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "NoWelcomeScreen"=dword:00000001

    2)

Bypass The Windows XP Log On Screen
To make logon an unattended process:

    Click [Start] [Run] and type
    control userpasswords2
    Click [OK]
The [User Accounts] Property Sheet displays.
On [Users] tab, clear the [Users must enter a user name and password to use
    this computer] check box.
    Click [Apply].
Enter a user name and password that should be used to logon automatically in
    the dialog box that appears.
    Click [OK].
Go to [Control Panel] [User Accounts] [Change the Way Users Log On and Off].
Uncheck [Use the Welcome Screen] and [Use Fast User Switching]

    Good luck,

    CH
